Are you using your Wisdom?

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on one of the most profound ways to use our power: wisdom. Our stories and life experiences shape a kind of wise love, one that can be cultivated and shared for the greater good. It enables us to make thoughtful decisions, build resilience, and develop self-mastery. But perhaps its greatest strength lies in how it allows us to uplift others. Wisdom becomes a form of altruistic social capital—connecting us in meaningful ways, especially with those who are facing similar struggles.

A few years ago, I consulted for a company called Wisdo whose mission is to end lonliness through wise conversations. Wisdo uses patented AI technology to connect peers based on shared lived experience so that , augmented by group coaching and monthly check-ins.

Here are some ideas to help you use your wisdom to make a difference:

  • Help others going through a similar experience. Sharing our wisdom will help others to make better decisions and encourage growth.

  • Networking, true networking is a simple exchange of ideas. Sometimes the best networking is actually listening to understand underlying concerns so that you are able to respond with compassion.

  • Mentorship—A wise mentor draws from a deep well of personal experience which allows them to offer advice that is not just theoretical but proven and contextual.
